McLane Walk Behind Edgers are manufactured in the USA.
We often hear from long-time owners of McLane edgers who have had their edgers for 15, 20, and even 25 years! These are built tough, designed to provide many years of dependable service.
McLane Edgers have been the preferred choice of serious lawn pro's for several decades. The cutter head is precision machined and uses sealed precision ball bearings and a 9" spring steel blade. Each edger utilizes an all-steel heavy-duty chassis along with a tubular steel handle, and is finished with a powder coated-baked polyester paint that resists chipping and corrosion.
This is a favorite of customers with long curbs to edge (e.g. Municipalities).
McLane Walk Behind Edgers have several engine options available. Both the Briggs & Stratton ("B&S") and Honda engines are "industrial-grade" engines which cannot be found on equipment in big-box retailers. The B&S engines are more economical, and can be easier to work on, but are louder and vibrate more than the Honda engines. The Honda engines carry a premium price, but deliver better starting, lower noise, and longer life.
